Pramia’s Plastic Bottle
is Eco-friendly
Pramia’s plastic bottles are made using wind power from Pramia’s own wind power plant and 100% recycled plastic bottles. The transport carbon footprint is 70% smaller than that of glass bottles. Nordic Swan Ecolabel logo on our recycled rPET-bottle demonstrates that a product is a good environmental choice.

THE PRODUCTION AND HEATING OF OUR PLANT USE DEDICATED WIND POWER
Without outside support, we have built our own wind power plant, producing a nominal output of 750 kWh, and an internal electrical power system.
WE SAVE ENERGY
While we produce our own electricity, we also want to save it. Only LED lights are used in all of the internal and outer spaces of our plant. We recover waste heat from compressed air to heat running water. Our company car is the world’s first hybrid electric Volvo V60.
OUR PRODUCTION IS CARBON NEUTRAL
We are the first carbon neutral industrial plant in Finland.
OUR PACKAGING WASTE IS MINIMIZED
We group-pack our bottles with plastic recycling film, weighing only 10 grams. We do not use heavy and bulky cardboard boxes.
OUR BOTTLE DELIVERIES ARE MINIMIZED
Compared to glass bottles, delivery trucks can hold ten times the amount of bottle preforms coming to the factory and twice the amount of filled plastic bottles sent to the stores.
THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF OUR BOTTLES IS MINIMAL
The environmental impact of Pramia’s plastic bottle to eutrophication and acidification is only one tenth in comparison to glass bottles. (MAMK)
OUR BOTTLES ARE PRODUCED FROM RECYCLED DOMESTIC PLASTIC
We are the only beverage plant using recycled plastic bottles. The raw material for our bottles is produced by our subsidiary Pramia Plastic. Aluminum cans are not processed further in Finland, instead they are always exported.
OUR BOTTLES, DRINK, AND ELECTRICITY ARE PRODUCED WITH FINNISH LABOR
All of our products are produced in Southern Ostrobothnia, in Ilvesjoki, Kurikka. We pay all of our taxes in Finland.
OUR BEVERAGES ARE DEVELOPED IN OUR OWN LABORATORY
We manage the entire development of our products ourselves, as we can handle all beverage categories and know the Finnish taste.
WE HAVE BEEN REWARDED WITH MAJOR INTERNATIONAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
In 2012, we were rewarded as the world’s most ecological alcoholic beverage producer and for the best launch of an organic vodka in the American market. That same year, our organic vodka Gaía won silver in a blind taste test in Cannes.
WE ARE A PIONEER IN CIRCULAR ECONOMY
The Pramia group is involved throughout the entire value chain of a plastic bottle. Our subsidiary produces food grade plastic from recycled bottles. At Pramia, we blow up the bottle preforms manufactured from this recycled material and fill them with our beverages. When the bottles return to recycling, we restart the chain. Thus we are doing something that no one else in the world can do!
